Heritage Museum
Colville Petty OBE, is an authority on Anguilla's history. He has written books on Anguilla's history and has a very fine collection of historical artifacts. Some of these are from ancient settlements of the Arawak Indians. Others are from the time of Anguilla's Revolution. The museum is located across from the East End Pond. It is open during the hours of 10 am to 5 pm Monday-Saturday. Call 235-7440.
Wallblake House
Wallblake House, built in 1787, is the oldest and only surviving plantation house on Anguilla. It is one of the few plantation houses in the Caribbean where the entire complex of buildings including the kitchen, stable and workers quarters have survived virtually intact. The Wallblake House Trust is maintaining the complex so that it may thrive as a center for cultural, social and educational events for the entire island community. Tour Hours: Tuesday and Friday, 10:00 am - Noon.
Big Spring
The Arawak people whose deep religious beliefs were based on the sun, moon and two sacred caverns, from where all mankind originated, once called our lovely Island home.The caves, Big Springs at Island Harbour, and The Fountain at Shoal Bay, remain to this day.
